Good start to the day

Fun is waking up and having finding out your first leg deadhead is canceled because for some reason AWAC doesn't want to fly into an airport that has FZRAPL going on. Can't imagine why not.

The best part? We TOLD Flight Control this was going to happen last night when we flew the airplane in here. But they said the weather was supposed to "clear up" enough to get the plane back out. Our plane left at 6am (or was supposed to anyways) so I have no idea if it made it out before the frozen stuff started coming down. Oh yeah, also because the flight is on a different carrier, our schedulers have no idea that we can't get out.
 
lol awesome. Do you get cancellation pay? Those are the days to go buy a newspaper, sit down with a cup of coffee, turn off your cellphone, and wait for them to page you. lol
 
Yeah we get cnx pay. The goal now is to get into the system as late as possible as today is the last day of a 4 day and is scheduled for 13:15 of duty with back to back LGA turns out of base. We'll see how long it takes them to realize we are missing. Last winter they "lost" me for 36 hours in DCA.
 
Well, now my CLE-ORD turn is canceled too:banghead: All thats left is the go home leg, and that better go!

Well that worked out good for you. Too bad we wont get to hang out in LGA at all today but I think you've got a better deal going.

Which reminds me, I wonder if my DH legs today are going? I'm now supposed to get to MDT via LGA-PIT-MDT...
 
hmm... Lots of cancelations. I'm on it way in for a trip In CVG today. Well see what happens. Last trip we diverted twice LOL!
 
Well I'm sitting here at home...Drinking a fresh cup of jo, got my fuzzy slippers on, my heat on in my toasty little home watching the pretty snow come down....Ahhhhhhh...

Forcast for Tues, go back to work day, clear skies, little wind, warmer temps! Four day trip all down south.....

I will take that. It's 65 degrees outside, sunny and clear. And these are below average temps :)
 
Heck even the UAL narrowbody guys don't have CX pay. No trip rig or nothing!

Good luck guys with all the cancellation stuff today. Hope everyone gets tome! One leg for me to SFO then DH home :)
 
Somehow I lucked out and got stuck in Jacksonville where it's sunny and warm. I had picked up a turn and it taken from me as they extended day four into day five so I think I get 15 hours pay today.
