Yeah, that would be pretty difficult to pull off. Luckily my parents are going to help me a little bit and I'll be flight instructing as much as I can. However it's going to rough the first month because I'm just going to concentrate on the CAE gig, and therefore no $$$ comming in.

Easy answer, perimeter taxi-ways....
The new taxi-ways go oustide (south) of the old Founder's Plaza and so the airport made a temp watch spot on the north side just west of the Remote North Parking lot on Airport Rd. A "new" Founder's Plaza is said to be built once expansion is complete (whenever that is I do not know).

I hadn't seen the website until about 2 minutes ago! Sorry but I laughed my butt off! They are trying to build it up and spin it their own way, DO NOT READ THIS AS A BAD THING. I just think its hilarious how companies can spin things these days (sorry, weird sense of humor). It is a great program and a great way to get a job. It proved to me that NETWORKING does exist and it works!

JUST MAKE SURE YOU CAN MAKE MONEY WHILE YOU DO IT!

I started in the Falcon 20 in Aug 2005 and added the Falcon 50 in July 2006. I got my type in the 20 in Feb 2007 (only because of some paperwork delays). I've been flying full-time contract in the 20 since Nov 2006 with a few nibbles on the 50 (but no flights) while still "working" at SF.

This new program is said to have taken effect this past summer but we (the RightSeaters or Supporting Crewmembers as we're now called) have not heard anything on classes for the CRM or JAA or other stuff they want you to learn. They are still trying to get everything the way they want it but I see this as a better program than before.

another instructor did a similar program through flightsafety. he met a bunch of people, which with better networking skills probably could have landed him a good corporate gig. he went the way of the regionals, but the skills helped him with flows, call outs etc.

i think it is a good idea and can benefit you and your skills

Does anyone know how flexible they are when it comes to your training in your assigned aircraft? I was told they were very flexible but I don't know if they mean during training.

During training you are like any other student and class attendance is mandatory. You are treated just like everyone there...as a client. But you are expected to absorb the material very quickly and be able to apply it as a competent first officer for other classes to come. When I did it we had Sundays off for training but otherwise it was 9-5 everyday except saturday was 9-1.
 
when i started right seating they were only admitting a small number of people for selected slots, based on need. i got the LR-35, which is nice because it's a busy sim. they also upgraded me to the LR-55 when i was up for recurrent.

i don't think you can choose what aircraft you get trained in. that said, i do know that they've been making some changes to the program, so maybe you can bid for a plane now or something. the LR-35 has been good to me and i've gotten calls numerous times for jobs and contract work. i highly recommend this program.
 
Yup, I will for sure be in the Jan. 7th class so I'll see you there.

As far as I know there is no choosing of aircraft. However, the pick is limited to:

Citation 500 / 650 / Excel / CJ series
BeechJet 400 series
Learjet series
Westwind
Falcon 10 or 20
King Air 350
Hawker 700

There are three DHL pilots that are going to commute and try to do this! I'm not sure why they didn't just apply as a part time instructor.

I am currently flying for the regionals, but I have always been interested in corporate. Do you think it would be practical for me to do this supporting crewmember thing on the side?
