GoJet ??

Again, before your time, and you really don’t know what that whole fight was about. Alter ego is not the same as “I’ll agree to fly that airplane that mainline scope specifically allows to be outsourced at a slightly lower rate than pilots at another regional are willing to do.” When we pretend that this is the same, or that SCAB means something other than crossing a legal picket line, then we water down what these things are really all about, and it weakens labor’s argument.

Oh I do get it. But there are no consequences and that’s why it happened. What do you call today a Freedom A lister that got the instant upgrade and as a result went to Virgin at a VERY young age (back then for Virgin)?

An Alaska Captain.

Hey, i dont know what mcIgnorelist is saying but scabbars was a rat from harry potter. Rat is a rat.

I understand how the regional airline industry came about, I just think it’s silly for x regional to say to y regional that they are better because (fill in the blank). Member when Republic and Endeavor we’re bottom of the barrel? Pepperidge Farm members.
We were bottom of the barrel for a bankruptcy. One of those three edv pilot groups had always been near the top, we couldnt drag everyone up with us when management couldnt read man.

Hard to drag anyone to the top when you’re filled with the most lifers at beyond year 12 pay and losing all your turboprops. Management said you’re “too expensive” for a regional.

Let me help you here. A GoJet pilot would have come back at @Skåning with: "It would have rhymed -and been funny- if it had been, 'More like NoJet!'"
Yeah, you can use that in your interview. For GoJet, GrowSet. ;)

Now that we've got that out of our system, Imma PM you with a contact who can answer any questions you might have. :)

Edit: there's always @Beefy McGee... :0

Why did you tag me? I know people who work / have worked there, but that's it.

Without a good appreciation of the effin grievance and negotiation process how hard is it to understand the gojet nonsense? Never had a complete appreciation until i was actually trying to defend whole chapters of the JCBA

He's an effin tool with a capital T, worst capt I had the displeasure of flying with. I heard he went to the Guppy so at least there's that.

I'm sure that words gotten out about him and management and the union knows his pattern of behavior. But if they'll actually do anything, that's a different story.

I meant more so justice in terms of no consequences of being Freedom A lister. Or even actual scabs, 1984 scabs are 777 CAs at EWR. The last one doesn’t even retire until 2026!

Yes. But where’s the justice? Sadly, he’ll tell you before start checklist to the line.

I dunno... Probably nowhere. But that's mostly because pansy-ass (you can totally say ass here!) FOs, maybe like you, didn't do your damnedest to treat him like the scum he was.

I flew with one Freedom A guy at my prior gig and the only verbal responses he got from me were checklists and required callouts. I missed out on most of the CAL/Eastern/United scabs, and while the Freedom A guys never crossed a strike line, what they did (and to a lesser extent what the GoJet guys, especially the junior TSA guys that went over there to get ahead, did) was just a small step up the ladder from those clowns.

I never flew with that guy. And honestly, being silent isn’t a punishment. Some people actually prefer it.

No one in any position of hiring at majors is going to give a damn about Gojets genesis. If you want to go there, go. Those battles are long over and those pilots are likely long gone to greener pastures.

I suspect that more Freedumb A pilots suffered consequences than you think. Sbarro Man is relating a singular instance of someone suffering no consequences that he's aware of. One instance does not a pattern make.
