Going to fly Medevac

I believe he went to Island Air Express, which is why I posted my original question. After watching early adopter Caravan operators crash left and right I can't believe those things are operating in SE. I'm probably not up on anything either, so probably the answer is that a guy with a slug of Alaska time can pull that off safely if working at a careful and conscientious company.
Putting 950 horses on the nose helps a lot too.

And dust, it's funny you mention Metro because I'm currently in Oregon and those are the guys that got me thinking. They had an opening in Klamath Falls for a PC-12, so I applied but crickets so far. I have no PC-12 time, but plenty of hours and multi-turbine PIC. Maybe its the damn 121 time. I should omit that from a resume. I'd be interested in asking your friend about them.
Where are you flying in Oregon?

Trying to run away from PenAir, but they seem to be following me.

Not flying, just living down here. I did have a personal airplane based in K Falls for a few years, and my neighbor was the Colonel in charge of the F-15 wing at the airport. Got oriented a bit on flying in the Pac NW through all that but most of what I'd done commercially at that point was in Alaska.

Hahaha. They have a way of doing that. There are a couple of us here who fly for Penair if you have questions. K Falls is a cool place.

The only thing awesome about K Falls is the food truck that sells Thai food. Other than that, I couldn't find much in the town itself to interest me when I covered that run for AMF for a couple weeks.

Green Blade Bakery for bread and pasteries, Jalapeno's Taco Shop for burritos, Mia and Pia's for beer and pizza. Or you could just go watch the algae boat scrape gunk out of the lake, pelletize it, and sell it to yuppies in California to eat with breakfast.

Oh yeah, and Sherm's Thunderbird grocery is an excellent multi-cultural large independent grocery store and a bit of a hold-out for the states with all the consolidation in that segment.

That's all I got.

I used to work for Air Methods and now I work for Metro. Both great companies. The reason you heard crickets is because a guy from my base took the Klamath Falls opening. MP me if you would like.
