Delta operations in LAX is going to explode over the next few years with theach terminal move. The company wants me to expand my duties and move to LAX to support the growth for maintenance. So my position has been reorganized and I got a promotion and pay raise to make the move. So I will be leaving #TeamSEA at the end of October. It was great living and working here, but it will be good to be close to home (San Diego).

Mostly just an easier commute. I lose off days on both side of every trip going all the way to ANC. Looking at most trips out of LAX they finish on the last day with enough time to catch the redeye home.

The company migration out of the current terminal spaces starts next month. JetBlue will be coming in behind us to take some of them over.

ANC is the junior base so I'm much more senior there than LAX. My biggest reason for leaving ANC though is that because a lot of the trips start in the morning and end in the afternoon I end up losing days off on both sides of the trip to commute.

Otherwise the flying is pretty similar. Mostly Asia with a bit of the South Pacific or Europe mixed in there.

But isn't travel included in the 16 or 18 days on (or whatever the respective work schedule)? Eg, travel on days on of work, not on days off.
