Hey everyone, I figured I would post this here to see if this guy can get as much help as possible. Fellow pilot at my company had an accident and all I know as of right now is that he had an engine failure after takeoff in a 172 in New Mexico and sadly he is now in the ICU but alive, I believe his spine is severed and from what others have said he may never fly again. thankfully he is alive but he is/was in New Mexico by himself as he was relocating from west coast to east coast for work, anything helps thanks guys/gals. If this needs to be moved to another section then my apologies.

I'd heard about this earlier today. I never did meet the pilot (I don't think he started at AA until after I left) but he will be in my thoughts. Such a terrible thing to happen that I don't know what to say other than that I hope he makes a full recovery (which is a long shot but possible according to the latest update).

It really is sad and put me in a terrible mood today just because the fact he just started here and now he probably wont ever fly again at least not for 5 years according to that update, I can't imagine living through that at all and having your dream and career crushed just like that. I really hope some miracle happens for him and wish him and his family nothing but the best. At the end of the day I guess you just gotta be glad you're alive and survived a crash like that. Terrible, terrible.
