Boeing Company Mesa, Arizona: Mesa,Arizona,United States LAHUNC This position will serve as a Global Security Communications Dispatcher in The Boeing Company’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), located in Mesa, Arizona. The GSOC provides Boeing decision makers with around-the-clock visibility of the strategic risk landscape, a common operating picture of Boeing’s global enterprise, emergency communications dispatch, and supports crisis management services. The Global Security Communications Dispatcher will monitor, receive, and evaluate emergency and non-emergency requests for security, fire, and medical services throughout the Boeing enterprise. Primary job duties: •    Collect and verify relevant information from Boeing employees, members of the public, and public safety agencies to aid in dispatching appropriate resources. •    Maintain communication with reporting parties and first responders throughout the duration of the event; encouraging all parties to remain calm and providing reassurance that the proper response will result. •    Operate complex radio, telephone, and computer equipment; reporting malfunctions or outages in a timely manner. Work with other team members in the GSOC to make timely and accurate notifications to Boeing Security & Fire Protection leadership. •    Implement and support GSOC operating procedures and best practices to drive performance goals and objectives. •    Participate in training and exercises to ensure GSOC team proficiency, compliance; conducting after action reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices. Typical Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic Qualifications (required): •    Experience working with public safety radio communication techniques and the operation of computer aided dispatch (CAD) software, two-way radios, alarm technology, and CCTV systems. •    Experience working in a collaborative environment such as a global security operations center, public safety answering point, or a UL Certified Central Alarm Receiving Station. •    Must currently possess or be able to obtain an advanced First Aid, CPR and AED certification. •    Must be able to obtain an Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification, from Boeing, within one year of hire. •    This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Preferred Qualifications: •    Experience working as a public safety dispatcher, emergency medical technician, or firefighter. •    Professional certification from one or more of the following organizations: Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO), International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED), NEnA: The 9-1-1- Association or other voluntary dispatching certifications. •    Experience and training in FEMA’s National Incident Management System (NIMS), including the Incident Command System (ICS).
