It is now a very large project within Boeing Commercial Airplanes to help customers in many operational areas, not just introduction into service training.

Is there an age restriction on this? Just curious for future possibilities...

At this time the max age is in line with the maximum age of flying under Part 121. That said, the group has kept some guys on a little past that age in other roles. More importantly, as this expands further there is talk of having non-flying roles (auditing, CRM training, etc) that do not require being a current pilot. Hasn't happened yet, but it is being considered.

Get your butt in the training department and become a line check airman and sim instructor buddy.

Got any openings in that department that don't require extensive 121 CA experience? Asking for a company employee in a different org, who has an ATP, is current in tactical type jets, and lives in the PNW? :p

Boeing hire guys like that all the time, just not into the Global Engagement Pilot role. Tell him to watch the Boeing jobs website for openings or network with anyone he knows already there.

Thanks! He has some old bro contacts on the fighter side, but all those jobs require either moving to STL, or living overseas in somewhere sandy, neither of which is appealing to him. He was maybe curious about the commercial side, and what stuff might exist that doesn't require a TPS background. I'll tell him to keep looking :)

Hi does anyone know, what is the max time Boeing takes to respond,if at all, that your application has been successful or has it been rejected, once you have initiated the application via CCL CONNECT
Thanks

They've been pretty responsive with a lot of interviewing going on. Must have 1000 hours of instructor experience on modern Boeing airplanes. If you have that you should be contacted. It used to be that it had to be all line training experience, now they allow 500 sim instructor time plus 500 line training experience.

Also someone I know has has his application on the CCL CONNECT portal for about 7 months. What are the chances that they will call after such a long time. Wondering
