I'm assuming the "ASA Instrument Airplane test prep book" is for the written, and is NOT the oral exam guide? Sent you a pm as well.

They are both, essentially, the same thing.

The ASA PP PTS only provides text, of what the PTS are for the PPL-ASEL.

The Gleim Private Pilot Practical/Maneuvers offers the same thing, the text from the PTS, but with graphics showing each maneuver, common flaws, how to fix those common flaws, etc.
