Ghost plane - crash in Ontario

I remember when that happened. I was at Tyndall AFB when it happened. He told Eglin Approach he took a bird through the windshield and there was blood everywhere. He got caught cause he was riding a motorcycle in the rain or something like that.

hah small world, I was doing a cross country that day, with a quick stop in that time period at KNPA.

You talk to Seymour Johnson Approach to get there. You talk to Cherry Point on the way out. The airport is in Moorehead City, in Craven County.

This made me giggle, here are some more funny sounding towns I've seen:

Marcus Shrenker didn't consider the increased drag on his PA-46 with the doors open, which resulted in fuel exhaustion and the crash just short of the Gulf. Also, it was during daylight and an ANG aircraft was airborne and nearby which visually confirmed no bird impact, door open, no occupants. Shrenker injured himself upon landing, the campground personnel identified him to authorities, and he went into custody. I think he's out of prison - anyone have an update?
