Ghost plane - crash in Ontario

I have a theory and although I want to abstain from speculation, I don't think there are many alternative outcomes than this pilot having exited the airplane in flight.

This is the airplane I've gone up in a bunch of times the past few summers with a friend of mine in the club, and I was possibly going to get checked out in it this season. We've been following this and it's gotten more bizarre over the past week.

Someone already tried this. He was found guilty of something. Can't remember what, but he pointed the airplane out over the gulf of Mexico, and jumped out.

Failed attempt to fake one's death? Like that (formerly) rich Indiana guy figured out - you have to make sure autopilot actually carries the plane to the water.

Marcus Shrenker, in a P46T. He jumped over Alabama. It fell short of the gulf and crashed in Milton, FL and we was captured at a KOA campground outside of Tallahassee.

There was also the case of the Canadian kid that made it to Nashville in a C172 and crashed on the field, but wasn't found for several hours because the fog was so thick. He listed Taylor Swift as his next of kin with the flight school that he rented from.

JerryW? He'd just read his 10 page performance review on JC, realized what disservice he'd done to aviation and became despondent??

I remember when that happened. I was at Tyndall AFB when it happened. He told Eglin Approach he took a bird through the windshield and there was blood everywhere. He got caught cause he was riding a motorcycle in the rain or something like that.

I was flying in to PNS that day and got vectored all over the place to stay out of the way of the him and the fighters they were trying to get in position to trail him.

He was caught because he committed the cardinal sin of faking your own death: he contacted someone after he 'died'. The email was traced and he was captured.

Ah yes, police had picked him up earlier for the mororcycle in the rain but hadn't realized who he was.

Uhm. Is it illegal to ride a motorcycle in the rain in Florida? Because if so, hilarious, given the demographics and climate of Florida.

Nah, I don't think they had picked him up cause he was illegal but he was pulled over on the side of the road and they gave him a ride or something like that.
