Geography test - Trip management job test for employment

I am about to do my final interview and assessment test for a trip planning/trip management company. One of the tests is geography as it relates to aviation.

I know my basic geography (number of countries, different continents, oceans) and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they think I should expect as far as knowledge.

I'm not looking for answers to the test, just want to make sure I'm able to prepare properly.

I know dispatchers that can't find anything on a map but have no problem sending a plane to BFE
 
Just a guess but maybe airport size and what can it support. Customs, fuel type, ground equipment. Fee's or landing fee's charges. Is it cash only. Is it a required entry airport into that country. If your sending a plane to xyz country what airports are best for abc type of aircraft. I don't know if that's what could be on a geography test but it might be a start. Maybe a priority list of airports in any given country. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I appreciate it. From what I have read it is basic, but I really don't like taking these kinds of pre-employment tests (who does?) when you can't really study for them.

Not a fan ;-)
 
Why do we test on what can easily be looked up verified and confirmed. I refuse to take the dispatchers word for it. Just saying.

Why test on FAR's or dispatch knowledge to get a new job at a airline when all that information can be looked up, verified, and confirmed? They should just give me the job based on the plastic license that says I am supposed to know that stuff already. I think taking a test a on geography as an international trip planner isn't out of the realm of reason. Just saying.
 
But having the license in hand does prove you have the knowledge. I've been at this for 10 plus years and all I know is my memory items.
 
I interviewed for a very similar position about 7 years ago that also had a geography test. It was international trip planning. The company I interviewed with just wanted to see that I had a basic knowledge of where countries/places were located....mostly centered around the islands in the Carribean and then different locations across Mexico and Central and South America and a few places in Europe. To prepare, I went to the library and got a world geography book and studied it for a few days. Did really well in the interview but didn't get the job.
