Geo Prefs and the Best shot at moving on to the next step...

im really really stressed right now. I keep putting up answering my geo pref email.....I will definetly choose my home state of PA as a geo pref ( dont even know if this is a good choice), but where else would I have my best shot at getting hired. yes , i want to live near my home but i know if i really want this job, i will have to move.... i mwas thinking CA, FL, DE, NJ, MD...... any help would be appreciated.....

also any info on PA sites such as philly would be appreciated... thanks!

i just went ahead and chose PA and FL

I was also thinking Nevada ( vegas)

NO ONE KNOWS!

If we knew where we could get hired...we would all be picking it and then there would be way too many and none of us would get a job anyway.

Here's how we picked. We looked at all the States with en route facilities.

We looked up each city where the centers are

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Area_Control_Centers#United_States

on the CNN Money 100 Best Places to live

http://cgi.money.cnn.com/tools/bestplaces/compare_tool_2008.jsp?id=PL2751730

And we started eliminating places where we did not want to live.

We could also have looked up the states with the most large facilities and picked one of those. 12 is busiest. Anything under 8 is not really worth your time.

At least there are a few intelligent people on here... Going to a level 12 OTS is basically ATC suicide. Go small, bid up.
