Has anyone gotten their geo preference e-mail for Pubnat 8? Shouldn't we have received them by now?

I don't want to be the one to start any rumors on here, but, my FLM told me that the FAA has exceeded their hiring criteria. I don't know if he was talking about for good, or if he meant for the fiscal year.

PUBNAT8 will happen, it's just not going to be for a while. And they're unlikely to pick many people.
Geo preference emails go out about a month before selection panels meet. Those are held on a quarterly basis; the next ones will be in June. If PUBNAT8 is considered at that point, expect to receive a geo preference email in May. Don't be surprised, though, if they decide to skip PUBNAT8 for a panel or two (or three, or four, or...).
