Gel Ear Seals vs. Oregon Aero Foam

Does anyone have any input on which is more COMFORTABLE (Oregon Aero Foam vs. Gel earseals)?

The context is that I have just recently purchased a DRE-6000 ENR headset. I LOVE it. It came with gel ear seals (the last owner added them). I've heard really good things about this particular headset when combined with the Oregon aero upgrade, but all of these were associated with the noise reduction, not the comfort. And, while OA claims comfort as a number one priority, has anyone tried both gel and Oregon Aero to compare them?

My DC's originally came with the gel ear seals. After a couple of hours flying during a day, they would be really uncomfortable. Also, if you wear glasses with those gel seals your ears will be painful after a while due to pinching, etc.

I got the Oregon Aero foam seals last year at Oshkosh, along with the noise reduction kit. I haven't looked back since. They are 10x more comfortable!
 
When I was using a passive Sennheiser headset, I installed Oregon Aero earseals on it (I've also used gel seals on other headsets). No comparison, I love the Oregon Aero seals. The foam actually molds to the side of your head, so it does make a very good seal. It's soft and comfortable, does the job very well.

Only problem is that the special foam in those earseals requires a little warmth before they'll soften up and mold - so if it's a cold morning, the seals are very firm at first, then after a few minutes on your head they begin to soften up and conform.
 
I've used both on a set of David Clarks. Oregon Aero look a little dorky, but are much more comfortable.
 
I had the OA foam on my headset which were really nice and comfy. Only negative was I wear glasses and the foam pushed the stems into the side of my head. I had to take them out because the pressure was uncomfortable. But if I ever get contacts I'll put them back since the OA foam is really nice. So for now the gel feels better with eyewear. Just my 2 cents if you wear glasses and are considering the foam...
 
I think the comfort with glasses depends on the frames you have. My Oregon Aero seals feel great with my sunglasses and are much more comfortable than either the gel seals or the original foam seals that came with the headset. No regrets here.
 
i have the oregon aero's on my backup headset, they are comfortable but not even close to the foam that came on my telex 50d
