Garmin 430 and 530 question.

I have a Garmin 430 and I am flying someone Tuesday that has a 530 in his plane. His data base is out of date and he has lost his card reader to update it.
Will the data card in my 430 work in the 530 if I just use it for the flight?
I was not sure if you could use one in the other.
My partner does the updating of our card. You cannot update more than one card each renewal period with our card reader can you?

The card reader (and card and database for that matter) is the same, the JSUM will only allow one update per cycle, per subscription.
