Just a thought: Shriners is facing big budget woes. They help many kids every year for free.

Are there any pilots here with stories of getting kids to their appointments at a shriner's hospital (and not necessarily just angel flights)? I can think of many ways in which the two issues would dovetail quite nicely into a great campaign that would put much more pressure on congress and the general public.

Here's a link to the Shriners story:

I did a Pilots N' Paws flight - rescued a dog that would have otherwise been put down. Maybe that can highlight that type of flying too.

What does this have to do with the GA Serves America campaign?

RD

It has a lot to do with GA serves campaign IF there are some pilots IN THIS FORUM who have flown shriner's patients to their appointments. My thought was to tickle some memories with the CNN story and see if anyone has ever had a shriners patient as a passenger or is a shriner and flys patients to their appointments. Shriners hospitals are often far away for folks. Anyway, the image of kids with various burn or ortho injuries getting screwed because of user fees is a very useful image from a political standpoint.
