Hey guys, all im looking for is if someone could send me the bid packet for G7, just curious what they look like. I dont need any long rants about how sucky G7 is i've heard it all and im not saying im going there so please leave the hate out of this thread. we all know how the industry hates G7. Thank you.

A have a few friends there right now, and a couple more in classes at the moment. I've seen the lines, for the most part (in ORD) they are commutable, 3 or 4 day trips. Overnights are usually 10-16 hours long at Holiday Inn/Hyatt Place or better. The line values range from the low 70's to the high 80's/low 90's. The overnights are decent as well, many AUS, PWM, BZN and Canada.

The DO told my buddy who started class last Monday that the original 12 airplanes for Delta was just the tip of the iceberg. Expect hiring to continue past the stated 180. Also, it was noted that the 4500 tt upgrade minimum is trying to be decreased. The 4500 tt for upgrade and 750 tt for a new-hire is a hard deck minimum due to the insurances, which falls under TSA Holdings. GoJet is trying to get separate insurance to drop those mins. Apparently there s rumor of an LGA base on top of the rumored DTW base. They expect the (senior) STL to grow as a result of the additional flying. There is a class of 35 starting Jan 8th which I believe is full. There are classes schedule in the latter part of January and into February (2 of them) that to my knowledge are stilled unfilled.

All of my friends are happy there. I know of a captain and a captain/check-airmen that commute from Denver and Seattle respectively. They've never been denied boarding on any commuting flight or otherwise. They wear their badges so that people can see who they work for and they've never been given any flack about it.

GoJet is a regional and a stepping stone to a major/national just like the rest. It isn't 2005 anymore, and if you go there, only a bitter fool would hold you accountable for the past.

Good luck, apply and see what happens!

I just threw up...

Why? Because I am getting fudged over again by some cheap a$$, mickey mouse airline that's growing at others expense while some other reputable companies are looking at displacement, downgrades, and furloughs again because of this BS!

I will welcome GoJet to DTW next month with my big middle finger!

mods feel free to close this thread. I got the information i wanted. Feel free to close it before it turns into yet another G7 bash thread.

4500 to upgrade?!? Jesus if you're hired at the mins, expect street captains to get the left seat first then maybe in 5 years you'll have the minimums.

4500 tt for an upgrade. Why? Because Trans States ran two, not one, but TWO airplanes off the runway at the same airport in Canada. It has nothing to do with GoJet. Look back 3 or 4 years and see what Trans States was hiring pilots with. 300 hours was the norm as well.

Suck it up. It's not anyones flying but Delta's. You must have a short memory if you forgot about the flying Delta gave to Skywest, ASA, that "belonged" to Comair. Comair had a great contract, and ASA/Skywest could do the flying for cheaper. Now GoJet can.

No, I don't have a short memory. I used to work for Comair and know what happened and is happening now.

Whatever you have to tell yourself to make yourself feel better for working at GoJet. I really don't give two about you or your pilot group.

Throttle back. You bitter, anti-GoJet types are so quick to jump to conclusions. I was simply answering the question that was asked at the beginning of this thread. I don't work there.

Where is your anti-ASA sentiment? How about your anti-Delta sentiment for that matter... they "gave" they flying to Skywest, which in turn gave it to ASA. To blame GoJet for this is beyond illogical.

The flying isn't anyone but DELTA'S.

But you don't give two bowel movements.

According to United, their on-time performance is great, their customer service reviews are great, they are getting more flying. Hurray. No doubt.

Hehe, yes yes yes. And Delta liked Mesaba once too, saw how well that worked out. Pretending you're the apple of your mainline carrier eye, even if you are the apple of their eye today, is an exercise is stupidity. Do your job, be safe, but remember you and your carrier are infinitely replaceable. If you come online to change minds, speak as though you intend that purpose. Preaching to the choir in an effort to WILL us into agreeing with you is worthless, boy, and it shows the quality of your contribution.

Mwah!

Try not to piss everyone off in here that disagrees with you by taunting, that advice is free.

If I piss you off, fine. I was answering the initial posters question because I had the answer to his question. The bitter, anti-G0Jet rhetoric gets old.
