G1000/GTX33 Transponder VFR code

How could I change the factory set VFR code from what it is to that which we use where I fly?
I take it that this can be done since it has already been changed from 1200 to 7000. Now I need it to be 2000

I have a manual for one of these at work, I'll see if I can find out on Monday or Tuesday. IIRC you hold a certain two buttons during startup and that gets you into configuration mode.

I remember reading this in the manual years ago, but can't remember now. There is a way to do it, though.

amazingly, I was able to find it on the interwebs....
to boot the G1000 into configuration mode, hold enter while applying power to the PFD.
the PFD should boot into configuration mode. there will be a list of chapters at the bottom of the screen. use the big knob to select the GTX chapter, then the little knob to select the transponder setup page. somewhere there should be a place to select the default code.
