Wow!! Does this seem fishy to anyone else? Why only Garmins? Conspiracy?
BTW, this does only apply to GA right? I mean all the airliners out there with GPS recievers on the FMS can still fly IFR right? I'd hate to think that going into the CRJ with a Collins 4200 is a step down from the G430 I was using in the Seminole.
I'm not flying an airliner, but the list actually includes many models of FMS's, including one we have installed in one of our Citations! Fortunately, it appears it only limits us from using the FMS in lieu of ADF/DME, and we have both of those installed. From what I've read on this, someone's working to get this corrected as it only arose from the way the AC is written, not actual lack of capability of the units.
