Future of XJT?

Yes, hi. Good morning everyone.

As far as the issues in DFW, we are one aircraft down due to a maintenance issue that will take until August 31st to complete repair. Since we lack any spares in that operation, being an aircraft down means we are having to offload those block hours to someone else.

Thank you for the info, we aren't told anything and just see JMing to cover XJT flights. Any hope of getting a spare into the DFW system before the end of Aug?

I forget how long it took them to finally add a spare at IAD (that was also a maintenance hog) so I'm sure it will be a while before they do anything at DFW. Just the way we do things at ASA err I mean ExpressJet. I am sure jtrain could tell you how many MEL's they are actually having to deal with on their aircraft now, rather than before. Management has never been pro active but rather, knee jerk reactive. I don't know if this is particular to our company or if most of the other regionals are operating in the same manner.

Hopefully, sooner than later most of us will be flying at one of our mainline partners. Till then, I would still recommend anyone to come over to the ERJ side of the operation - at least that contract is better till we have joint one. :) To the OP, overall I think we are not too bad and worth taking a look.

I wouldn't count on it. All of our other CR2's are flying under other CPAs or are maintenance spares for their respective operations. Perhaps around November we can hang onto one or two CR2s to keep as spares in DFW when they depart the DCI system.
