Future of USAF

I have a wireless plan through Verizon, and generally when we're in our rooms we don't get bothered. There's not much time for surfing, but there's no regulation against it either.

I'm calling the flight commander right now........

:D

You can hop on the internet and surf JC in AF OTS? Sah-weet! Sounds like club med to me! :D

:yeahthat:

Back in my day they owned our butts for the entire time. If we so much had a candy bar in our possession...:panic:

So they don't provide you internet but you brought your own? That's hilarious. I should have gone through OTS

Real men go to the academy. Why do it in 90 days, when you can suffer for a whole 4 years instead?

BTW, real women go to the academy too... but they come out as real men!

Doug, where'd you hear about the infamous form O-96?

After 12 years at Southernjets, I'm fully conversational in "Ringknocker", "Squid", "Grunt", "Coastie", "SAC", "Marine", "Boat School/Annapolis School for Wayward Boys" and "Training Command".

Blah blah blah GEEdunk at the BX, get some bug juice and take a combat nap in the rack. :)

You give some guys a couple of beers and then you start hearing the cool stuff about variable yield/dial-a-nukes, lob 'n release, what REALLY happened in that incident with the F-15 pilots that got busted and all sorts of interesting things!

There's a bunch of them in the airlines.

Oh, I figured. It's not exactly a state secret or anything. I shoulda put a smiley or sarcasm tag or something on the end of my last post.

What's funny is that I don't think the zoo has even been doing them since I was a smack in 98. The '99 or '00 guys I think had to do it during recognition only, and I think they've completely vanished since then.

Maybe Ian will know. I think he was an '07 grad or something.

I'm an outsider.......Mustang who went to OTS. :D

'08

We still did the forms but the fast neat average friendly good good was bolded so there was really no point to it.

I knew I always liked you...

Just an FYI to make you all feel better, they may not make us fly PreDaters after all. The first 2 classes of non-pilot UAV drivers are in the pipeline. And the first batch of UPT-direct victims graduate the B-course this month!

SO you're saying that they are starting to figure out how to work the whole UAV selection thing then? Never made sense to me for them to send dudes to burn $1M+ in the T-38 and then take such a strange step back, skill-wise, even if only temporary. They do some cool stuff for sure, especially with the Reaper (and it's offensive capabilities), but that is probably mostly me talking from the perspective of not having to worry about such silly things at the moment.
