Is what it is. I have read the Navy is thinking of a manned version.

It'd be interesting to know more about the recovery and landing logic for that aircraft. ATOL will be able to get it close to the ship but because of the pitching and rolling of the deck I assume that it will have some sort of RAPS/OPATS system to bring it in to touch down. For the initial testing phases I don't imagine they'll be launching on anything but the smoothest of days.

Been keeping a close eye on this one. It is much bigger than the picture makes it look. Definitely an interesting development in Naval Aviation. Sure would be nice to send an Alpha-strike full of these guys on night 1 of a conflict to keep from losing any pilots to SAMs etc... Does anyone know if the 47 retains any air-to-air capabilities or is it a dedicated mud-mover?

Suppose to be a FIGHTER?????? lol.... OK.... o_O if they say so.

That thing ain't doing no Air2Air combat for a long long time.

Dropping big strategic farts, yes....

Love NGC though

Sorry guys, typo on my part, X-47B. Yeah, it's air to ground only as far as I know. Let them be targets for double digit SAM's!!
