Just curious - what is the most fuel one of your flights has had to dump?

I had a flight two days ago get rid of 150K pounds. Yep at least $75K out into the wind.

Very surprised you share this relatively internal company info in public like that, especially considering you have an airline code in your username (assuming you are still with Frontier). Be careful!

I don't think frontier flies any planes that, 1. Can dump that amount of fuel 2. Can dump fuel at all.

Aww … using today's spot prices, it couldn't have been more than $69k :D

Kinda like this little doozy of a fuel spill:

Well technically it was already public knowledge as soon as the flight started dumping. The passengers knew about it and probably told all their friends and family upon landing. ATC folks knew about it and anyone on that frequency heard as I believe ATC and/or the crew have to announce every 10 min or so that dumping is going on and at what location.

One can look at flightaware and see what type of acft it was, the specifications can also be found on the net. Thus anyone who heard it or heard about it and was interested could come to roughly the same conclusion that was posted.
