I came across a section regarding fuel dumping, and fuel dumping systems, and I'm confused with one of the sample questions based on fuel dumping systems that I cannot seem to find a clear answer to. The question asks what fuel dumping systems usually incorporate? Would it be float operated shutoff valves in all tanks to ensure 45 minute supply of fuel after the dumping? Or an electric pump in each tank to accelerate the rate of dumping?
The two other options are- a flowmeter in the dump line to allow calculation of the amount of duel dumping in a particular time period.
and - provision in the main tanks to prevent dumping all the fuel
I haven't came across much in regards to a flowmeter being used in a fuel dumping system, and the provisions in the main tank to prevent all fuel from dumping seems right but I couldn't find anything with regard to that either.
Any help or clear answer (if known) would be greatly appreciated!
thanks.
