Fuel cards

JJ Abrams you Insensitive Bastard.
HI fellas

I’m starting to pinch hit for a friend in his job, and I feel a bit uncomfortable with handling cash for fuel - and using My credit card is a nono.

So I pitched the idea to my friend’s boss about a fuel card, but when he asked me for more details, I drew a blank. So how can one apply for one? Is it like a regular CREdit card but just for fuel? ANy heads up i need to be aware about?

THank you

There are a few out there, with prices and policies varying between each. Some are fuel only and won’t accept ramp or lav fees. Including but not limited to AvCard, AvFuel, Shell Card, UV Air, Multiservice. Then there are fuel releases.

Multiservice is accepted at 99% of the FBO's out there for all your fees.

I'd contact fuelerlinx, I'm not sure if you already need fuel accounts with the different companies set up, or if they will do that for you. We used it at my last gig and overall it worked pretty well for fuel purchases as long as its set up beforehand.

It's not a fuel card, however, I suggest a CAA membership. It's the best $500 investment an aircraft owner can make.

Edit: The aircraft needs to be turbine powered. I can't remember what you're operating.
