Frozen

Local KCOE pilot, float plane instructor, author, and former Alaska State Patrol pilot Mike Kincaid worked on the crew of the movie Frozen Ground, flying John Cusack (playing serial killer Robert Hansen) and serving as his double for the flights.

I guess they gave him a bunch of the raw footage so he put this nice piece together.

It should be interesting to see the movie when it comes out.

Funny tidbit: Mike had to teach John how to get in and out of a Super Cub, so that he looked convincing as a pilot.

Two things:
1) No way in Hades Hell that dude could be a body double for Cusack.

2) Do they really need flaps out all the time to shoot the air to air? I would think a cub would be slow enough with the flaps up or down to get chased by a helicopter...

Look forward to the movie.

Watched this movie a couple days ago. It's not bad, pretty dark (naturally due to the subject). There was very little flying footage though. Interesting to hear how much work they put into shooting the flying sequences and then there was hardly any in the actual film.
