Frontier / republic?

Both have dx positions listed that have been up for a while, anyone know if they are just building up a resume pool or are actually understaffed?

I considered applying at Republic, I'm a colts fan so it would be great. But I'm sure they start out at like 14 an hour which is standard for all regionals. Maybe someone can clarify this. I would imagine that it's all the same since republic own frontier.

Since all positions are listed under Republics website if you are invited for an interview you need to specifically ask for which company it is for. I will say that Frontier has averaged just over 1 dispatcher a month since moving to IND. Draw your own conclusions on the why that is happening.

Is there a big diff in starting pay between frontier and republic? Is Frontier really moving back to Den?

Nothing in writing about going back to DEN but pretty confident it will happen.

As far as pay - its been posted on here somewhere, F9 starts mid 30K

F9DXER thats good to hear I guess. I have an interview coming up, applied for Frontier was called by Republic So I am not sure which company it is for or where I am going to live! Will be the first two questions when I get there.

Dec 19 two days after I got my dispatch license and two hours after I started my job hunt:) I applied to Frontier a week or two earlier.

That's awesome! Can I ask where you did your training?

That's great to hear...I was considering IFOD but am leaning towards Jeppesen in DEN. Still not sure. Hoping to hear back on a thread I started, "Which dispatch school?".

I am an instrument rated private pilot, but have been away from flying for about 6 years. I'm hoping my knowledge will help me if I decide to go into dispatching.

Would you say that IFOD's website, and their answers on the FAQ's page is pretty accurate? Especially regarding job placement assistance and how many people get interviews/jobs even before they finish training? How was the student housing there? Did you feel like they teach you what you need to know "just" to pass or do they go the extra mile?

Thanks for any info you can give me. :)

PS...have you heard anything negative about the Jeppesen program?
