I was just offered a position flying a 402b out of OMA feeding DHL w/ Encore Air Cargo. I start training on Oct. 18th, so unfortunately no NJC for me, but for good reason.
I want to give a shout out to a few people but first let me say again that I would have never gotten this gig w/o JC. A recommendation letter
beer: Thanks, you know who you are) from a JC member sent to another JC member who in turn recommended me. This community isn't anonymous, it's pilots paying it forward. I believe in that idea and I'm doing my best to help others in the industry.
A couple personal shout outs:
Doug/Kristie: You guys are phenomenal. The hard work you guys put in day in and day out is just amazing. Again wouldn't have this job w/o you guys.
Gomntwins: An absolute stand-up guy. Showed me around the aircraft the day before along w/ briefing me about the company over lunch, which mind you he wouldn't even let me buy. He put in a good word for me also.
X-Forces: This old man helped me prepare for all parts of my interview. The technical, HR, and sim. It's because of him I did so well in the interview. I said it before but he's one of few guys I look up to as a role model, plus he's old enough to be my dad. :rotfl:
I'm sure I've missed a few and will feel like a jerk leaving you guys out, but whatcha going to do. Wish me luck in training!
