Freight opportunity for low-ish hour

Good on you, but I would go crazy if the biggest/best I could ever look forward to flying was a Caravan. Diff'rent strokes and all, but I didn't go into this to fly an overgrown 172 forever.
Thanks man, this is whats exciting to me about flying careers. Everyone is unique and has different motives and takes a different path, I feel as long as we follow our guts and not the ego, we should end up pretty happy with the path we take.

Not everyone wants to deal with hats, crusty old captains who can't get their heads outta their asses, long boring commutes with constant discussions about the schedule, the latest contract issues and not sleeping in your own bed for weeks at a time.

NO THANKS!

I'd much rather take the Van single pilot into icing conditions, full throttle, hanging on the prop at 120 while I bring little Joey the latest version of CoD 4000. At least I get to hand fly on occasion and file VFR into a coastal town. If I wanted to program a computer and sit and watch it do my work for me I would still be working in IT as a linux admin writing scripts all day.

Somewhat relatable, I did enjoy flying the van. Not sure about the icing part though.

I guess I'm a weirdo. 300 some hours in the van and I could take it or leave it. Sure, it's a mighty capable airplane for when you need to move 9 people and everything including the kitchen sink in 140 knot unpressurized comfort, and the pilot's seat is a throne worthy of the term "captains chair" but it really just doesn't do anything for me other than make me want another turbine engine. YMMV, past performance no guarantee of future results, etc. I will say it's a great airplane to wrench on with (mostly) easy access (as long as you're on a garret conversion with no ^%£%+<£ inertial sep in the way of literally everything) and manuals that are detailed to the point of being excruciatingly so.

Sigh....it's an overgrown 182.....182, Roger....
