Freight-Doggin' Tomorrow!

Nice!

Whatchya flyin?

Oh, and don't pull the flaps up on the runway. :sarcasm:

Congrats!!

Be safe and good luck...
gonna try, it is a good company, no forcing me into crappy conditions. pretty much everyone told me, if you are in the ice for more than 10-15min and can't escape, find a way out (divert, return, etc) not too excited about that, but i will learn quick:beer:

'gratz B. Hope to hear something on my end tomorrow. Crossing the fingers. You going to be a FSD floater now?

Congrats! I agree: The 402 is fun but it can be a pig when you're carrying a load. Enjoy that. ;)

By the way...As a former safety committee guy at Cape Air, I ended up hearing a few fun "events" from pilots in the region while the ASAP program was being worked on. All I can say is this: Don't get into the all-too-common habit of saying "It's just a 402." Yes, it's a piston twin, but the brakes are terrible and the performance is lacking at high gross weights. Case in point: Accel/stop at MTOW on a hot day (even at sea level) can exceed 5000 feet, and that's what's published. Plenty of balled up airplanes in the NTSB database caused by pilots who didn't think to look at the numbers before departure because, well, it's "just a piston twin."

Okay, I'm off my soapbox, sorry! That was just one of my biggest pet peeves when I was there.

I have noticed the brakes really do suck! I need to work on slowing it down when landing, and with 5 legs a day I get 5 chances to practice lol.

Overall I like it and it flies really nice, very stable, and decently quick for 35yrs old with crappy paint still truest out around 182kts.

I don't like when I have to slow down to follow a crj though.....

Monday I am solo! I hope the weather isn't too bad because I tried to get ice yesterday and fly towards tsra but there was none to be found so I guess I get to learn that on my own :(
