My brother was traveling a while ago and packed all his toiletries in his checked bag, except for a 3 oz bottle of contact lense solution that he carried in his backpack in case he wanted to take out his contacts and put on glasses while traveling.
The TSA confiscated the bottle of contact solution. You know what the problem was? He didn't put the bottle inside a plastic bag. He was like..."What? What's the difference if it's in a plastic bag or not? It's the only liquid I have. One bottle, nothing else."
"Sorry sir, it's just the rule."
I feel so much safer now.
Contact lens solutions and solids like deodorant don't have to be in the plastic bag and they can be larger than 3oz.
