That was a very interesting read. It really seems like the SR-71 was really in a class by itself. A chemical ignition that explodes on contact with oxygen

Once I saw the plane, though, I couldn't have cared less about that. I'd wanted to be a pilot since I was six years old, and to me this was as good as it was ever gonna get.

Well, he got the expression right so he's okay in my book.

I'm not sure we fully grasp the magnitude of Kelly Johnson's genius and the importance of what he's achieved with his Skunk Works team. To me he's one of the most important person of the 20th century.
