Incidentally, I brought my E6B with me for my PPL checkride and that's the only reason I passed. I've had a lot of physics, calculus, and upper level math in college but I couldn't remember how to calculate my ground speed with my T-89Wuss. All of you.
Kneepad strapped to your leg, E6B for flight planning, and IFR enroute charts spread across the copilot seat.

I whipped out my E6B, read the instructions, and got it done. Then my DPE pointed out I forgot the 430 has your ground speed on it
