Fokker 100 Pilots

Jimflyfast

lurker first class
If you are type rated in the F-100, somewhat current, and have international experience (this part is really important), please contact me. I have 3 F-100s that need to be ferried in the very near future. $1200 a day plus all expenses. I know this is a long shot to find current F-100 pilots, but maybe someone knows someone

email me at jimflyfast@comcast.net

thanks

Jim

I know there are several operating in Tehran, and their pilots would be current, but as far as the US, I do not know anybody flying them. I'm sure some freight hauler some place is using them, but I have not heard about it. I do not personally know any Iranian F-100 pilots, though.

Good luck in the search!!

The only operators of the F-100 in the western hemisphere are: Avianca (Columbia), Avianca Brazil (Brazil) and SAM Columbia (Columbia). Good luck! There are a lot more operators in Europe, Africa and Australia.

I believe Ford operates an F70 out of DTW or YIP if that makes any difference...

What are you talking about? American Airlines operated the Fokker 100 from 1992 to 2004. Get in a time machine and go help out some American pilots. Think outside the box. Btw, I have built a homemade time machine. It still needs a test subject. How badly do you want to help your fellow aviators?

Thanks to everyone who have posted this on other sites. I have received many very qualified responses. Unfortunately I failed to indicate a key requirement that they hold a US license, not ICAO.

I think you misunderstood him. He's referencing "current" operators of the F100 (and it's easy to look it up). One would no longer be current if their last flight in an F100 was 2004. It is rare to find them in the skies of the US these days, hence making it difficult to find qualified/current pilots to ferry one.

But hey, if Jimflyfast needs a warm body in the right seat, I'd be happy to do that! ;p

I'm pretty sure the pulled the plug on that one... as well as everything else they had in their corporate flight dept. when their bosses showed up at Congress in their bizness jeeets...

And DAE, Dutch Antilles Express in the Caribbean. But I don't know of any DAE pilots on here. Does TAME in Ecuador still fly them?

Pretty sure they did. It used to be in an out of SDF almost daily because of the Exploder plant but it's probably been a good couple years since I've seen it.

Hey Jim, two questions:

1. How's the 330?

2. If there's a 757/767 that needs ferrying, let a brother know.

The 330 is fine - just another jet. Works just like all the other ones, dont know why they make such a big deal out of it. The training is another issue. I have 4 more sims and then I am out of here.

I actually have a 757 job coming up. you available 20 / 21 Dec? You have my email (as does half the world now) (no one else need apply for the 757 job - I have plenty of 757 drivers)

PS, how many post does it take on this board before I am not a newbie anymore?

I could've sworn that I had pictures of their F70 coming into TOL from DTW doing a training flight. As I recall, they did a bunch of approaches including a circling approach from the South. This was well after the huge flight department meltdown..maybe about a year ago?

N324K is the reg

As far as the auto big wigs, they're still flying on corporate aircraft. It's just much more hush hush and low key than it was before. We had the CEO of one of the "big three" come through not too long ago.

After getting the man a 757 ferrying opportunity you're probably not a newbie anymore...He can probably hook you up with a few thousand posts.
