Foggles vs. the Hood for Instrument training

The francis hood is what i use. It's horrible. You can barely see everything in your scan without working for it. Now, the plus side is that when you can fly good basic attitudes with that horrid thing, actual is no problem.

So it really does make you as miserable as they advertise

+1 for the Vibans though.. I have a pair and really like them.

I second the Viban's. Easy to put on and take off and do a fine job of covering everything you want covered.

Add me to the "like the Vibans" list. The only problem I've had with them is that the nosepiece on mine fell off, and I had to glue it back on. They even fit over my glasses.

But in a pinch, I've even used a baseball cap with the brim pulled down low. You have to exercise some self-control to not look around too much, but it works.
