FlyteNow Loses in Court of Appeals

He's man enough not to accept a hot bowl of free food when offered! :)

I don't know about that. The chili I made with the left over wild turkey, (not the booze!) that I shot last season was pretty good. You man enough to hunt wild turkeys?

I've hunted wild turkey. Tastes great too. But chili is made with beef. It isn't supposed to be healthy.

Brother, you are seriously missing out if this is representative of the rest of your culinary preferences.

I eat just about everything but sushi. But all the turkey chili I've ever had...No thanks, I'll pass. It doesn't taste like chili is supposed to taste.

I'm going to have t disagree with you.

Here's the chilli recipe I use. As you can see, it has beef AND Italian sausage included in it.

Then it's not turkey chili if it has other meats. You can keep your man card.

How can you not eat sushi?! Get a spicy crab or shrimp roll and you're set!

It's all in the presentation.

Indeed. Additionally, for those who don't realize it, practicing law, for most attorneys, isn't about taking an ideological position; it's plumbing. You make the argument that the client needs made, you do it in an ethical manner that represents your clients position in the best possible way, you cash the check and go home.

Hell, during your training it's not just expected, but demanded that you make one argument one day, and the other side's shortly after. You never know who you're going to work for or what you'll have to argue.

Hit the nail on the head. It's all about the debate, and explaining your reasoning. Saying that you have the 'correct' position is not enough, why do you have the correct position?

You patient enough to hunt wild turkeys?

FIFY :)

Congrats on your bird! Chasing gobblers is what got me into hunting - I still have yet to bag one. Then again I pursue those stubborn PA mountain Easterns. Last year my buddy and I finished up the day, I went to take a leak, and fetch the decoys. I had called in a Jake about 50 yards in some thicket that came in silently, only realizing that after he spooked. Flushed out a tom on the walk back up too. Ironically we had a good position, but I hunted sunrise in a different spot with a friend who uses less tact (or noise I should say) on some roosted birds. Should have stayed closer to the cabin - plenty of sign, but there is always a draw to go deeper into the timber. The Brookie fishing was good though, as always.

Time to walk around all day with a call in now!

You guys must not be very good at this kind of stuff. I see turkies around my house all the damned time.

I'm not - I make no excuse :)

"Urban" hunting can provide its challenges and rewards. If there were more turkey in my immediate area I would do it locally like whitetail. For example, the next property over is the hide of a horse - meaning the biggest buck I have seen. I've seen him twice, ten points wide and high and in the 200+ lb. range. Honestly it would be a shame to end his reign on that hill. But where I am at on 2-5 acre plots with woods and wood lines between it makes it difficult to plan the hunt itself (getting in and out, making a shot safely, timing, etc.). Deer operate in these areas because they are very safe and there is no pressure. They can hide and they can see. I got permission to hunt it, but the previous owner moved and I have yet to speak to the new owners. Even with that its tough set up.

I've had two eight points go at it in my back yard. They move at night mostly. But the same issues preside.
