Flying Wild Alaska

I get into the hotel late last night and turn on the tv and see the old show "Flying Wild Alaska" is on. Flying 121 you hear a lot of moaning. It was pretty cool to see these guys all pumped (they may be burned out by now) to be flying.
Anyone know these guys? They still flying? Just wondering if anyone had updates on these dudes. I hope they're all still living the dream.

The female pilot (can't remember her name) is now the chief pilot at Hageland (and the attitude to go with it). Spoke with her early this year.

I was pumped to be flying my first few months at both 135's I've worked at. Enthusiasm wears off....it happens. That being said, I'll always love flying and can at least say I enjoy what I do. Otherwise i wouldn't put up with some of the things that suck about this career.

I just left there about 6 months ago. Besides the occasional pilot who had a quick appearance on the show, only two that I knew of who were somewhat regular in the show were around. On the show, the lead pilot and check airman based out of Barrow was now the Chief Pilot for the Hageland side. And one of the female pilots based out of Saint Mary's was now a Captain on the DHC8 for the Corvus side. Never really watched the show so don't know about any others I may have known while I was there.

The CFI that was instructing the daughter now has a watch company and flies for a 121 carrier. I've heard some rumors that she and another popular female pilot are using their 121 benefits to support a ferry business.

Hardly a rumor. It's all over her facebook and google

All supporting evidence to the rumor. Another JC member and I recently encountered her at a function and she blew us off. Her loss she didn't realize that this JC member is world famous.
