Flying Wild Alaska...anyone?

we're watching an episode now (it's on Discovery Channel)...and they do make everything look like life or death....

at least you learn a little bit here and there... Doug says they're doing a pretty passable job narrating.

I agree, tonight I yelled at the TV a little less than I did last week:pirate:

The daughter would probably catch it...especially after a few. Her accent drives me crazy, but as someone else pointed out, she most likely has the iq of a plant.

I like show but I can tell they are going to ruin it with phoney reality show drama IE his rudder pedal breaking on take off. "I'm a bush pilot and I'm going to sit here panicking for 12 minutes instead of just switching to the other seat right away! Gee, this sure is convenient to have happened while we were taping the show so they can put some dramatic music behind it and make it seem like a much bigger deal than it really is OH EM GEE!"

but that daughter... yup... the real reason for watching! she's crazy... but i could care less

she has a great body, but damn those inuit faces are hard to get past. I bet half the pilots who land there could've went somewhere else ;)

I could never get bored of staring at Martha. ;)

She really let herself go....

uhhhh are u kidding? her face is hot! i dont see a sarcasm tag... i'm gonna drop in there tomorrow and work my magic!!! (sarcasm)

Oh My God!!! He had to go IFR, flying blind! How did he ever survive?!?

"After 30 tense minutes of flying through the fog he made it on the ground safely" ... Are you kidding me? It looked like the pilot was struggling to stay awake because he was so bored. I was expecting a lot more out of this show. They might as well just film an airline crew trying to get from the gate to the runway at LGA. That can be a lot more dramatic some days.

Ya'll are spoiled, what else is there to watch on tv anyway? I know it's not as interesting as it would be perhaps putting the whole Jersey shore cast in a beaver and crash them into a mountain but, hey... it's a darn tv, watch it, sleep with it, talk to it or just throw a bottle of beer at it, it ain't gonna change :)

Not only would I watch that, I would donate my life savings to make sure it got aired.

I caught a bit of it for the first time yesterday. Like everyone above said...very over-dramatized; however, I did enjoy how they emphasized how much of a problem teen suicides are in Alaska and how something needs to be done. Even in SE Alaska it's becoming a sad reality.
