Flying to prom was probably cheaper than when I went to my HS girlfriends prom in a limo.She didnt even put out that night.
 
A buddy of mine met this girl that he liked and wanted to take her up flying. Well when he started talking about flying and stuff he found out that she was the daughter of a CEO who used the company jet very regularly and sometimes took his daughter. After hearing that he felt that nothing he could do would impress her after she had already flown corporate, LOL.

Imagine how easy it could be to get a job for him in the future.

I did do a few dates with a girl whose dad was a Cathay 744 captain once. :p

DPApilot hooked up with the nastiest girl ever because her dad owned a GIV....and he didn't even see the airplane.

I've taken a date up in a plane before. Flew my girl to Key West for dinner one night. Considering she had a morbid fear of flying, the fact that she later called it 'the coolest date idea EVER' I think it went over well.

I had a buddy in the Army that did something like this to propose to his wife. It worked.

I flew to the prom dinner as well, but in retrospect, I probably would have been better off skipping the prom and just flying around solo! :)
 
...I just saw this thread. That's awesome Trace. Somewhere DPApilot is jealous. However I'm sure the guy (probably AJ) he took to prom as his date was hot too!
