Flying the GV

Probably, I read one of those the other day that a Southwest Captain posted. I guess he opened himself up to all kinds of trouble by posting it since he threw the sterile cockpit thing out the window.

Anyway, Superbowl is just a few hours away. I need something to do till then and discussing my intergallactic trips probably isn't good :o

How'd he throw sterile cockpit out of the window?

He typed this while at his hotel for the night?

Im just not sure how to put this in my logbook, I mean, it wasn't turbine, I think it was based off of antigravity or something like that. And then when you consider we traveled through time, should I log the time from takeoff to landing by my watch or by the years it took to travel. If that was the case then I would have logged like a few hundred thousand years? I guess I need to go back and get the signature of the Captain if he had a CFI ticket. Since I didn't take a checkride I can't log it any other way.

Don't log it man. It's going to be slow singing in that airline interview when theu ask you about how the antigravity system works and you don't know the answer. Just don't log it man!:)

747-200, 727-200, and a 707. :rawk: (Pan Am sims in Miami)

SWEET!!!!! Its a great expierience, but a GV cockpit could top a 747-200s anyday.

Yeah, I asked if I could log the time, but I cant because I dont have an ME and I am not qualified (type rated) in it yet.........

Ummm, I may be wrong (haven't got much time instructing in GV sims, just spaceships) but I think as long as the "instructor" has his CFI ticket and is current, you could log it under simulator time toward your Private Multi-Engine Land license. You can log something like 3 hours of sim time toward your private license. In the end it's your logbook, you can log it how you want but unless it is somethig you do alot, I would put it in there as a good memory.

I mean if you were totally rich and decided to buy a GV could you do all your training in it?
