I just recently flew a GV simulator!!!!! Full motion baby:nana2: :nana2: I dont even have my privates!!!!:nana2: :nana2: :nana2: Its alll conections. Sorry for bragging but im excited!! i'll fill you in.... Put in the flight plan in the FMS, took off, did some step turns, flew an ILS into JFK, then another ILS, demonstraited a few stalls, rolled it a couple of times, then a smooth VOR into PHL 27R finished the day. Its WAAAAAAAAAY harder than it seams!!
MAD fun though:rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk:

Wow, you flew without your privates?! How did you have the balls for that one!?

Haha, great man. Take any pictures? Was it easier to fly than some of the smaller aircraft you fly?

I was nervous but I said the he!! w/ it and, didnt want to pass it up!!!!
It was way different than what I had expected you had to "go get em" the crosshairs on the PFD and kept over compensating. Getting a hang Of the trim was a bit difficult. BEAUTIFUL cockpit though. Actually my
TT is 0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not many get there first lesson in a GV:rawk: :rawk: :rawk: :rawk: Now I have 1.6 hour GV sim expierience:rawk: :rawk:
Disclaimer:I wont metion names or places for security reasons
I had pictures of me in the cockpit but the guys daughter who I went with Dropped her cell phone in water and Deleted them. AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

I can beat that, I flew a Triple Seven sim for the better part of 4 hours before I had my private. Only thing is, you seem to know what an ILS is already and I had no clue at the time. They kept talking about follow the bug, and I was like, who cares about the bug, the runway is out there somewhere, i need to get down out of the clouds so I can land this puppy... Crash!

Great experience to have at the beginning though. Congrats!

GV is better!!!just kidding, That depends on alot. Well, the ILSs that I flew it was like getting an Instrument rating in an hour!!! all the stuff he was talking about went right through me, like stuff I cant remember! AHHHHHH!
I do remember alot of it, it wont be to relavent for a couple of years though. Thanks though, and Im sure your 777 expierence was great for you.

If we're getting braggy, my first lesson was at ten then.. ;)

747-200, 727-200, and a 707. :rawk: (Pan Am sims in Miami)

Got an hour in the USAF C-17 sim! Nothing cooler... Huge cargo plane, center stick control... and the Tactical Descent... Point nose straight down, reverse thrust for speed control... let's see a 777 or GV do that!

i think i might have you all beat...i flew an "authentic" T-37 "Tweet" simulator before i had my PPL. Talk about a rush! :sarcasm:

Actually i found it very informative...we did a bunch of instrument work...

Did someone in your family work for Pan Am. My best friends dad used to be a shop foreman in Miami for them.

I got abducted by aliens and they let me get some stick time on their intergallactic, time travlin', widebody, uber heavy, cosmic cruiser.

It was pretty sweet, I got to shoot an approach into Rigel 9's outer ring through two dimensions in another galaxy. Captain Zorlock was pissed though because I had no time in type, and he was one of those cappys that hate the low timers becuase I was useless to him. He had to show me how to use the galactic transporter while we flew through the Keiper belt but I got to log the "actual" time. Just glad we didn't hit anything but I feel like I am a better pilot for it. When we landed, there were a few furloughed alien pilots there that called me a PFTer but I just blew them off because I was getting to fly a space ship for free! Well, it was free till we got to their laboratory and well, they did some stuff that I won't discuss on here.

Maybe I should make a complete trip report and post it on airliners.net. You know the funny thing though, just like Kingairer, I started and ended my trip without clothes on... Doh'

Okay timbuff...i guess you have us beat on this one...we only got sim time, but you got real stick time!

That would be true interesting to read...

Im just not sure how to put this in my logbook, I mean, it wasn't turbine, I think it was based off of antigravity or something like that. And then when you consider we traveled through time, should I log the time from takeoff to landing by my watch or by the years it took to travel. If that was the case then I would have logged like a few hundred thousand years? I guess I need to go back and get the signature of the Captain if he had a CFI ticket. Since I didn't take a checkride I can't log it any other way.

you can always go ask the guy at airliners.net they are the experts when it comes to this

Probably, I read one of those the other day that a Southwest Captain posted. I guess he opened himself up to all kinds of trouble by posting it since he threw the sterile cockpit thing out the window.

Anyway, Superbowl is just a few hours away. I need something to do till then and discussing my intergallactic trips probably isn't good :o

It was a Southwest first officer. Did you read what he put the guys is a idiot. That guy should know better than the give people a reason to fire him. An openly gay pilot at airline with a majority of ex-military types should know better than to give them ammunition. I feel for the guy and I hope he doesn't get in trouble but the information on flightinfo doesn't look good for him.
