That is sweet, but at 1.3M I think I'd rather have the jet.

From what I've got left from contacts in the industry, Cirrus isn't a eclipse-like dumpster fire. With that said Cirrus, has got a lot to prove.

Love the eclipse commentw though!

This is going to be interesting to see if it'll sell in significant numbers. It looks like a neat little jet, but it is rather pricey. A loaded SR22 is also very pricey, and they've sold plenty of those, so we'll see what happens.

And what'd you expect from a non-aviation news source, with an unrated pilot writing the article?

I've only had the chance to sit in both the SF50 and the Eclipse (not the gum) while on display. The SF50 was more comfortable and easier to get in/out of than the Eclipse. Kinda liked the cockpit layout of the Eclipse a bit better, but could easily get used to the SF50.

The eclipse cockpit layout is much less comfortable when every screen goes to giant red x's and small x's left to right in front of you because you traveled into ice/HIRF/get smacked by weather.

This is why I always carry a backup AHRS even if I'm walking.

Eclipse causes a lot of trama which affects pilots years later. Certification monkeys too.
