flying on US Airways

I probably will but I had to book last minute and I am going to Houston. Alaska doesn't start flying to Houston until end of September; I was able to get a direct flight back on Continental which is who I usually fly. My main point was to find out if US Airways provides meals included in your ticket price.

No Meal, you have to pay for one if you want to eat or buy before you broad. US Airways is no different from other carriers (my opinion.)

I usually fly continental and they provide meals within the cost of your ticket. I have flown American several times and they don't provide meals so that is what I will prepare for...lovely.

I used to fly USAIR from Houston to charlotte then on to Huntingtion West Virginia. We were always on time, and the planes were well kept and the crews were always nice.

Last time I flew them though was 4 years ago. I now work for AA and honest to god everytime I fly non-rev with them I get garnished with food and get treated great. Just 2 weeks ago I did a company trip from dfw to cll and the flight attendant gave me a full drink, my choice of snacks and sat down and talked to me and we were able to talk about working with AA and how we both appreciate our company so much.

I couldnt imagine US airways being that bad to where they are treating their employees badly. I honestly having nothing but great things to say about them.

It sucks when I book a flight on a major & then find out later it'll be one of their regionals. It ruins my day when I find that out which is happening more & more unfortunately. :( I guess I should just take more international trips just for the better customer service.

There are a lot of people that book away from regionals.

Hell, there are people that book away from 757 destinations as well so no bellyaching! :)

RJ or a 737, I'm going on a 737. Personal preference.

You know, beyond some Saturday hub to hub flying, I can't think of more than three or four flights we do that also have mainline metal on them. It certainly wasn't always that way, but in the past few years it seems that Mainline has consolidated their destinations and for the most part the Express Ops do their own thing.

A bunch of our flights have mainline metal. DAB, PNS, RIC, PHF, SDF, BNA LEX, MDW, AUS, HOU, MSY, EWR, RSW, SRQ, NAS are the ones I can think of immediately of the top of my head.

I have to agree w/ Doug on this one, as you can read from my other posts. For some reason, not a big fan of regionals. Nothing personal.

so I flew US Airways and it was ok but I did have to pay $5 for a can of almonds. Had a huge lady next to me from Anchorage to Phoenix who was spilling over the arm rest into my seat. If I accidentally bumped her she would make an annoyed grunting sound and then make an involuntary jerking movement. I was glad to get off that flight.

I have nothing helpful or constructive to add to this thread, other than my best friend from high school's dad is a Delta pilot and would refer to US Airways as US Scare-ways. I always thought it was funny! :D
