Hey Doc,

I just got picked up for UPT and I'm going for my Flying Class 1 in May. Do you happen to know what kind of blood tests will be given?

Just off the top of my head, they'll take 3 or 4 vials during your trip to the lab for your initial. There will be a HIV screen, cholesterol, drug, etc. - a lot of different stuff. I think I have a full page of digital stats about the makeup of my blood from my IFC1.

Anything in particular you're interested in knowing that they'll be looking for?

I'm just looking to find out everything they test for in the blood work. The reason is, my buddy just failed his medical over something he never knew he had. I over analyze things so this got me all worked up!

Well, it's not worth worrying about -- if there's something in your blood work that the USAF doesn't like, it's not as if there's anything you can do about it...
