I think for the most part this will be a good show. I am glad people are not letting this go. The only problem I have is nothing more than ego at this point. I hating them hammering on the fact of low time guys. They need to clarify that not ALL regional pilots are low time, and in fact I would imagine at most regionals, even the FO's have a couple thousand hours or more at this point because there is no movement. It is just going to be awesome to have all the passengers thinking you are 200hr pilots everytime they look at you.
On a side note, the head of the regional airline assoc. needs to be punched in his face. He is a WEASEL! I don't know where he is getting his figures but he is full of it is he thinks an average FO first year pay is over 30K and a CA is 70K. Since he is such a WEASEL, I am sure he does math about as well as most of our companies..."Ohh...your legal, we can just move your show time up"...or, my new favorite is the "Your legal on flight time because we have only been counting your time from wheels up to wheels down..." WTF???
