Yeah, not so much…. I admit I was eager and didn’t care about much, unless it was flying. After much consideration, research, reading, talking, fighting…. It is no longer an attractive way to go. I am not going to spend thousands of dollars, sacrifice time, my family, my life, to start out making 18k a year. I am one-year away from my MBA… I just got an AWESOME job. Awesome Pay, (Enough so the wife can quit her job) Paid travel, amazing benefits and people. Don’t think it’s worth it anymore. The industry is Garbage, the pay is horrible… I still fly for fun and will be purchasing my own plane next year. I can do what I love with-out all the sacrifices.
A lot needs to change in airline industry before I again will consider it for a career.. I hope you future pilots find it, and enjoy it… It’s just not what it used to be anymore.
