In fly-by-wire aircraft, if there is nothing but electronics linking the controls to the airplane, how does the pilot feel airplane? Is there some sort of computerised force fedback?

Many have "artificial feel" feedback installed. When the F-16 first came out, the right-side stick was rigid, and sensed the pressure the pilot was exerting in order to correspondingly move the controls. This would cause many instances of PIO where the pilot rapidly inputs and then corrects excessive, yet unintended, control pressure/input. Very soon thereafter, the F-16s stick was modified with about 1 inch of play in any direction so the pilot would have some semblance of how much control is being input.
