Hey captains,

I Found a good offer from both schools FLORIDA FLYERS and DEAN INTERNATIONAL but I want to hear from captains who've been there or know anything about both schools...
They offer PPL/IR/MER/CPL+270 hours for almost $35,000
and what is important ,, they train internationals and can issue I-20 to apply for M1 Visa
- Is it ok to learn flying by Jan or Feb regarding weather in FL or not ??

If there's any other school that you recommend , I appreciat it. but not expensive one...!!

Thank you in advance

Looks like all C152 time except the Multi (25hrs of ?? Doesn't say). Also that's not a fixed price. They clearly state if you need more training or AvGas goes above $5.95 you pay the difference. Guess its cheaper than ATP but less multi time by far. What's your goal?

I'm an ATC thinking to quit and become a pilot...!!

if you dont recommend any,,tell me good one within the average price

Thank you captain
great day all

Florida Flyers trains a good deal of internationals and they are pretty busy during the week, only thing you can really do is call and see what would fit you best.

I'm very familiar with Dean and its pretty good there. I know the Pan Am Indian students were not allowed to see the amount in they're account balance in the hope they would graduate ahead of schedule and under budget and of course there were no refunds. About the only negative thing to say though, compared to the other schools Dean is pretty well run and fair, mx is good (comparatively speaking), the 152 is cheap to fly in these spiralling fuel costs and yes Jan, Feb, and March are usually some of our best flying months...

Thank you Dynasty22,,,

I appreciate your help captains .. still confused between these 2 two schools
I still need more ideas to make up my mind

Sure. I actually instructed there. Flight schools in South Florida are all pretty similiar and despite some of the things said above Dean is probably one of the better ones. If you go there they'll probably give you a choice of an instructor you want to fly with... find someone that fits your personality well and stick to that person, a lot of students bounce around to get lessons done but often times they miss things in they're training since they move from instructor to instructor. Also this makes is harder to find someone to sign you off for a checkride since you've done small parts of the course with many different people. Just find and fly with one or two instructors that are thorough and make sure you study study study. Miami is a crazy place and some of the younger students often get caught up in the partying, just like college but if you want your ratings just focus all your efforts on flying, probably six days a week and leave one day to relaxing on the beach. Try to but in 3-4 hours of studying for every hour you fly. The mx was good also compare to some of the other places I've worked at in South FLA as well.

One important rule to remember with your flight training and career advancement: No one takes your flight training or your career more seriously than you do.

Good Luck.

Whatever happens - do not pay up front. Pay as you go, and keep track of your monies.
