Flightlogg Question

If only Flightlogg had an email I would send it to them, however they don't so I rely upon you JC'ers again.

I can only log into my flightlogg account on a few random computers. I use a google open id, and it will either log me in as my username, or just openuseridxxx. Anyone else have the same problems?
 
Been kind of whacked lately, but the dude reads the forums - sure he will chime in.

Whoever you are BTW - software dev here, and i've thumbed through the code. Let me know if you want some support help!
 
well i used to have a username, tbed22, but i get the openuserid and i don't have any logged flight. i've tried chrome, firefox, internet, safari....and even on my cell phone.

i really wish flightlogg wasnt stupid like this sometimes.
 
I used it all the time but had to make the switch to logbook pro. It transferred well and I haven't looked back since.
 
Yeah i still have my logbook pro...flightlogg i feel is better in so many ways except its been very unreliable
 
I remember I had the "openiduserxxxxxx" issue a while back. When the forum was still up, there were quite a few posts about it and a work-around. If I remember correctly, the issue developed from being a first-gen Flightlogg.in user and it didn't migrate correctly over to the new software. I believe I had to back up all my data, then delete my logbook and create a new one, with my google openID. I might be totally wrong, but that sounds vaguely familiar. I hope the Flightloggin dev chimes in here pretty quick.

I got LogTenPro for my iPhone and Mac and love it, but I just haven't had time to get it anywhere near up to date.
 
yeah dam it...i think im gonna have to go back to logbook pro. i've tried about 40 different computers and i can't log in. at least i'm still getting the same openiduser number...

I always got a userid number and I was a user from the start. I remember reading somewhere that userids were assigned to each user.

Well I use the same log in, its just not instead of my username (i think it was like tbed22 or viper22) it just says openiduserxxxx and all of my flights are gone.
 
I saw this note on FlightLogg.in's home page today and remembered this thread; I wonder if this would be of any help to those having log in problems (I've not had any problems with my Yahoo! ID for the past few months):

The library that was being used to handle openid logins has now been upgraded. This may fix the issue people were having with not being able to login. If you've been having trouble logging in, please try again. If you still can't log in, please report any problems you are having to the forum. The link is at the bottom of each page.

Hey guys, there's still a forum, it's just using a different server/program/whatever. On the bottom of the page, there's a link labelled "Google Groups". Click that, that's the forum. Or if you use twitter, it looks like they have that too. On either of those, just request to merge your desired name with your openiduserXXXX name. The owner guy used to be really good about getting that done in a timely manner, though I don't know how much attention he's paying to it these days.

Also, make sure to download backups of your log! While I love the program, there's no denying that its reliability has dropped a bunch over the course of the last year.
 
Can't really blame the guy can you? From what I can tell there isn't a revenue model to speak of. Free stuff is cool and I love it just as much as the next guy, but free doesn't pay for fuel, food, cars, or the the health insurance I'm now required to buy. We are blessed that JetCareers has better uptime percentages than practically half the internet.
 
Okay I'm going to do that right now! On a side note, I was able to log in under my real account the other day, so I think it's getting better!
